Invision high gloss cap resins are based on advanced polyolefin compositions that have been specifically designed to provide high gloss in extrusion applications and maintain their high gloss in post forming applications, such as thermoforming. These products are also noted for their extreme clarity and durable surface, making them very suitable for applications which require a paint-like surface, but without the chipping or peeling that may be experienced with painted surfaces.
The versatility of Invision cap stock resins allows them to be utilized in a number of co-extruded structures to allow the end user to economically obtain their desired performance targets. Products produced with Invision high gloss cap resins may consist of smooth or textured surfaces. The non stress whitening cap resins may be utilized as a clear or color cap co-extruded over Invision TPO resins, or for the most demanding applications in terms of appearance and durability, the cap resins may be used in a multiple layer, co-extrusion of clear over color over an Invision TPO base resin. Invision color technology, combined with the cap resin technology, allows the cap stock resin to match the appearance of any painted color in sheet or profile form or as a thermoformed part. The Invision 3566 resin provides the industry benchmark in high gloss, formable, olefin cap resins.
Invision 3570 resin is a high-gloss, thermoformable, non-stress whitening olefin capstock material, which can be directly co-extruded onto Polyethylene resins, such as HMWPE. Invision color technology, combined with the high clarity capstock resin, allows the capstock resin to match the appearance of any painted color, for a cost effective decorative and durable thermoformed product. Typical applications as a capstock material over HMWPE are fenders, spas, recreational vehicle body panels, small watercraft, and RV components.
